ATEX pressure sensor: What is an explosion-proof pressure sensor?

An explosion-proof pressure sensor, or pressure transmitter, is a pressure measurement device  that has been specially developed for use in hazardous areas. Our SMX and SMX2 sensors convert the measured pressure into a standardized 4-20 mA output signal that can be safely and reliably integrated into other systems. Thanks to intrinsic safety and ATEX, IECEx or CSA certifications, our explosion-proof pressure sensors can be used worldwide.
