The main goal of the R&D project is the development, constructive implementation and testing of a universally applicable measuring probe for recording 3D velocity vectors in laminar or turbulent two-phase fluids. The use should take place under laboratory but especially under real conditions.
This is a joint project with 2 other cooperation partners.
The aim of the sub-project of ADZ NAGANO GmbH (hereinafter referred to as ADZ) is the development and integration of a pressure sensor system for stagnation pressure measurement (EIDS). The main task for ADZ will be the selection and configuration of suitable pressure sensors as well as the mechanical design of the probe. Another task to be processed is the co-integration of the processing electronics for signal compensation. For this purpose, functional models are built, practical tests and characterizations of pressure sensors are carried out.
The newly developed sensor technology is intended to make a significant contribution to improving environmental conditions. The areas of application include, among others:
- Risk prevention, disaster resistance in flood forecasts or to predict the further course of a flood
- Functional checks on fish ladders to protect native animal species
- Providing the measurement basis for a hydraulic-ecological assessment in water bodies for, among other things, restoring the continuity of natural flowing waters and thus serves to restore intact ecosystems
The project is funded by EU funds.
